yehhhh

The spring semester has FINALLY started to come to an end. I've survived over 60 pages of lab reports, six finals, three-and-a-half presentations and two utterly retarded teachers. I've also managed to get through a year as an RA to 63 residents pretty successfully. I've also been the go-to-bridesmaid for a good friend getting married on Sunday. I'm, surprisingly, still alive. But I am tired.

While I miss those who've already left, I couldn't be more relieved to see the freshmen GO HOME. I love them all dearly, but they are also the bane of my existence. My boss asked me to follow up on a roommate conflict last week. Um, hello, they're moving out like tomorrow. I've become very close to a handful of them and can't wait until they're not "my freshmen" aka next year we can actually go out and have fun.

So the wedding is finally here. After months of planning, the big day is on Sunday. I'm getting my beautiful dress fit tomorrow and am going shopping with the bride for shoes and another dress (not for me, don't ask). My love (who drunken Slawinz calls "the one") can't come to the wedding with me, because he has his own to go to that day :( So no date, but my mommy will be there with me. I'm staying at the bride's Saturday night so that we can all be together in the morning to get ready. Ah, I'm so excited!

The half a presentation that I have left is ALL that I have left besides being on duty. I'm working move out (agh, no one leave Wednesday morning!) and then am on duty Wednesday and Thursday nights. That sucks, but at least I've got some good friends and my baby here until Friday also and plenty of time to pack without stress. This weekend will be busy enough.

My showers last four songs

I generally take a 10-15 minute shower, but who's counting the minutes really? Instead, I take a four-song-long shower. This is made possible due to the cleverly placed speakers in our bathroom.

I usually soak in the hot water for an entire song. This is the best part of the shower, because you really enjoy the water hitting you for the first time in 24 hours. And I like my showers really hot, so it's like a steam shower at the same time. Today, I soaked to "Steve McQueen" by Sheryl Crow.

Afterwards, I take one song to shampoo and condition my hair. Billy Idol's "White Wedding" worked well today. (Yes, the alliteration was on purpose.) This was followed by Carly's "You're so Vain" for the body and face wash. Finally, "Everytime it Rains" by Charlotte Martin closed today's shower as I rinsed off. Ah.

Hey mspennylane, can you tell I was listening to the playlist I've got for you ;)
