Unbelievable sights...Indescribable feeling...

It definitely says something that Belle and I can have a conversation strictly Disney song lines over the internet. And there was no better way to help the time in class pass by better. Challenging each other to "knowing the next line" was not only fun for me, but for the gentleman sitting to my left who noticed, laughed and made me laugh at myself during class. It was even worse than my laughing at Godot's dirty dirty jokes at the same time.

That would've been really awkward if I sent the wrong IM to one of you.
--
Godot: Turd burglar!
Bellezza: You got some power in your corner now.
--
Belle: Gosh it disturbs me to see you, Goston, looking so down in the dumps.
Bellezza: Yea, well, your bro took a dump on your head.
--
Just doesn't work as well...

Is it awful to want to be a little kid again? Why do I still know the lyrics to all these songs? Because they are all on my iTunes and I listen to them on a regular basis. Sad, no.... Super fun! Oh well - I'm really not ready for all this grown-up stuff yet, so I guess it helps to hang on to these immature pleasures. PS - we iced the cake by watching Hercules haha!

You wanna be where you can see our troubles are all the same

I have a bar. It's no Cheers, it's no Coyote Ugly... Hell, sometimes we don't want to even admit that we enjoy it there. But I can't lie - Lincoln Park is our bar.

Yes the $1 drafts taste as cheap as they cost and the juke box has had its bad nights, but I can always count on having a good time there with my friends. We're a fun little bunch that can usually only afford what the Park has to offer mid-week. We walk in as a bunch, the bartenders know us, and we order rounds in double-digits. We make fun of each other, have laughs about work, and sing every true bar song at the top of our lungs.

I love our group that goes to Linkin Park each week. It won't be the same next year when some people graduate, but I do hope the Wed/Thurs night tradition remains. We've got a few new people on staff to corrupt. And Michael. Haha, and Lauren now too. Sweet - Lauren drunk.

I'm in love

Yes, I know that those of you who know me already know this fact and are probably SICK of hearing/seeing it, but I'm sooo happy.

I just wanted to shout that out one more time.

I love my baby.

Have a wonderful day.

Eight eff'n days and counting!!!

Is it wrong to be concerned?

I went to Blockbuster on Friday to get a movie for me and my friends (PS. Derailed = AWESOME, Prime = AWFUL) and learned that JJ has been a total slacker lately. When Abercrombie closed a few weeks ago, he went back there to work and apparently wasn't even doing any work. He slacked off whenever the boss wasn't around and took advantage of working with his friends. JJ was supposed to be working Friday night, but never showed up and then on Saturday I got a phone call from a friend saying that he "quit" aka stopped showing up and screwed everyone over.

I don't know what JJ is doing with his life. He's a super senior at Kingsborough now and never seemed to have much drive to do well in his classes (one of the reasons that I didn't stay with him). I don't know if he's graduating this year or if he's even pursuing going to the Police Academy. All he seems to care about is his dart league and getting trashed.

Getting trashed. When I saw JJ over winter break he was drunk off his face and when the party we were at ended, he kept drinking by himself. I asked what the fuck was up and he simply justified it with a "I drink my sorrows away". It's not once and awhile, but practically every night that he does this. JJ got so drunk last week that he and his dart buddies started punching each other (for fun) and he didn't realized until he sobered up the next day that he broke a few bones in his hand.

So, yes, I'm concerned. JJ has been on a downward spiral for the last few months. I want to see him, slap him in the face and just force him to explain himself, but I know I can't. He's got an (18-yr-old) girlfriend now who needs to be there for him in a way that I can't. And if I were her, I would hate the ex who was "butting in" when really I genuinely want to help.

Too confusing.

Even the emergency poverty pizza fund can't help me now

This week is finally over. Some Fordhamites were excited for the three-day week we're getting for Easter break, but all of my classes are Mon-Tues-Wed, so no time off for Bellezza :( It was also a week from hell. I had an Organic Chemistry test on Monday (class average 76, I got an 83) and a lab practical on Tuesday (I got it right, just don't know if it's full credit AND it was my last Rose Hill classssss). This morning I took an immunology test that utterly beat me to death, but hey, it's over now.

HAPPY BREAK!!!!

After my one-on-one this afternoon I'm going to sleeeeep for a few hours. Then tonight I'm going out to dinner and a show with my aunt!

Aunty: Hey, what are you doing Wednesay night?
Bellezza: Oh I have class from 6-9, why?
A: Well, I got tickets to some new Broadway show, can you skip it?
B: Sure (I went last week). I'm in.
A: Don't you wanna know which show it is?
B: Well, if it's on Broadway I want to see it, so it really doesn't matter but sure...
A: It's a musical version of The Wedding Singer.
B: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'm so excited. I'm going to see Stephen Lynch tonight. And Amy Spangler's in it too, so that's awesome. I saw her in my very first Bway show, Kiss Me Kate and then also in Wonderful Town.

It's a good thing my aunt is taking me out to dinner. I have no food. And no money. Whoops, I left my wallet, ID and keys at home this weekend. If only Res Life would pay me back the $40 it owes me and I'd be golden. But hey, let's be realistic - I'm eating pasta this afternoon.

Pinstripe!

Oh I am so upset...

I had to tell a girl in the building tonight that she couldn't keep the dog that she had. She was soooo adorable (the puppy, the owner was very sad) and I feel so awful about it.

I've actually told my bosses that they are so lucky that I'm on staff because if I wasn't I would so have a dog in this building. That's what made this suck so much. I totally understand why someone would want to have one here, because I do. And I hate that I had to be the one on call and had to have anything to do with her having to leave...

Oh, it's days like this...

I hate when they make me hate my job.

Another day...

...another blog entry... I haven't been writing too much in here, but I'm always checking everyone else's and nine times out of ten, I'm guaranteed that someone has written something to distract me from my homework. (Or class as it would be right now.)

I just noticed something that I thought that it was really cute and that's the themes I see running through each of our sites. Not themes really, so much as preferences. Ms LemonCrush's blog (check out Always Chasing Rainbows!) is the most like a diary. If I haven't talked to her in a few days, I can still know what's going on in her life by reading her blog. She writes to tell people the details of her extraordinary life, and for those of us who have the pleasure of knowing her, it's simply an additional means of that expression. We hear it all in person too :)

Nevergrowup is the most creative of all of us. I can count on Paradise by the Laptop Light to have a fun story about dancing monkeys or anything really. Her entries are always fresh and I really never know what to expect. And again, this style reflects the fabulous nevergrowup, who while is often quiet, has ways to express her individuality in ways other than shouting it from a rooftop. She writes, she dances, she's gotta way about her, don't know what it is...

My dear Ms Belle. You will get commented upon when you write something new. Okay, just kidding, love you! Belle and I actually have the same writing styles. We're the ones that write thematically. When Belle or I write, it's with an exact purpose. When she's got ice cream on the brain, I know it because she'll write about it on Searching for Serendipity. Likewise, if I've been thinking about my feeling on religion, I’m gunna figure them out via Lost in Deliberation.

Godot. Oh Godot. When I started writing this entry, he had no blog to comment on, but alas, he has returned. J When I click to Meditations by a Wayward Student, I literally never know what to expect. Godot also writes about whatever is currently on his mind, but those thoughts go from dating to politics to farting. How well rounded.

I must stop writing now, as it is time to make my rounds – of blogs. These rounds are way more fun than doing the building.

It's not that kind of photo shoot

I googled myself today and I would just like to say that I am pretty boring. Only two things came up (that are the correct person).

First, a letter I wrote to The Observer last month. While we haven't even gotten the paper yet, apparently it is published in the March 30th edition so that's cool. However, whoever editted it made some mistakes and there's like a line that doesn't make sense. Well, what more can I really expect from them? I was writing about how they're retarded anyway - they just added some fuel to the fire.

The only other hit that came up was the Res Life staff list for 2005-2006 RAs. Whoohoo. I know I'm an RA and guess what, so does everyone who lives here. (Um duh, I'm the best, remember?) But, boringggggg. Let's do something awesome and get it online with our names on it so we can be the fun "Feeling Lucky?" website.

But, let's not have it be porn...
